“Thoughts about life?”
“Life?”
“Birth, life, death, the whole thing. I mean how do you look at it. We get old and then we die, and it’s all over.”
“What brought this on?”
“It’s just that as we get older, we seem to have and leave so much behind, family, friends, even lovers—especially lovers. One partner is older or gets older faster and dies first and leaves the other one to go alone. It seems unfair, makes having someone to love seem pointless eh?
“Are you worrying about the future?”
“I ask a question and you answer it with a question!”
“Alright if it’s that important to you. The way I see it life is some kind of learning process. We are born, and we don’t know anything except that we’re hungry. We grow older and we start to learn things Eventually we’re “educated” .We figure we know everything! Except life isn’t like that. The older we get the more there is to understand. And less time to understand it. So by the time we die we’re only just coming to the conclusion that we don’t know a darn thing. And then we really wise up—except now it’s too late. Because by then we can’t tell anyone because now we’re dead.”
Ah, but the point of the whole excersise is to get to KNOW GOD! Doesn't matter how fast, how slow, or how much knowledge we get if it does not culminate in the KNOWLEDGE of HIM. This it the point of life! And yes you are right none of us get out of here alive!
